The number of covid-19 cases in the country may have been rising rapidly and now nears 7000 confirmed cases, governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State however, disclosed that the State is winning the battle against the deadly disease as recorded cases in the State has significantly reduced.

This drop in number of cases according to the governor, is as a result of concerted efforts made by covid-19 taskforce in the state.

The governor while addressing stakeholders at a meeting on Wednesday in Bauchi, said “Allah in his infinite mercy has made this thing to nose-dive and today, we have the least number of those in hospitals compared to those that have been discharged and from all indications, Allah has answered our prayers”, he said.

While announcing the lifting of the lockdown order in the state, Bala said the order was not deliberate or meant to punish anybody, but an attempt to curtail the spread of the virus amongst the people.
